3 changes Rajasthan Royals should make ahead of IPL 2027
The Rajasthan Royals pulled off a brilliant surge in the 2026 IPL season to reach the playoffs, where they were eventually beaten by the Gujarat Titans by seven wickets in Qualifier 2.
They made their way deep into the tournament on top of brilliant performances with bat and ball. The explosive top order of new skipper Riyan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once more did the bulk of the scoring, while the bowling attack was dominated by high-pace tearaways bowling lethal death-overs yorkers.
Rajasthan Royals bowling line-up was one of the best ones on paper. But they often tinkered with the bowling combinations due to team combination and injuries. Jofra Archer led RR bowling attack brilliantly with the ball, picking up 25 wickets with an economy of 9.32.
But when it comes to other bowlers, it was not the same case. The likes of Sandeep Sharma, Sushant Mishra, Tushar Deshpande, and Ravi Bishnoi got only few chances throughout IPL 2026, but were eventually dropped at some stage. Even Ravindra Jadeja had to miss a few games with injury. This never gave the bowling line-up to settle down. Next year, they would want to come up with better bowling plans.
