The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction is just around the corner, with all franchises finalizing their core squads and releasing a few players to increase their purse balance. Spin bowling has always played a pivotal role in the IPL, with Indian conditions favouring slow bowlers across venues.
Among spinners, the competition in the off-spin and left-arm orthodox spin department has been particularly fierce, and several promising names are expected to draw attention this season. Here, let us have a look at three off-spinners to watch out for in the upcoming IPL 2026 auction.
Vidarbha’s left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey could emerge as one of the most sought-after bowlers in the mini-auction. He represented Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) during the IPL 2025 season, coming in as an injury replacement, and impressed in his limited opportunities. In three matches, he picked up five wickets at an average of 19, showcasing maturity beyond his years.
His performances in the Ranji Trophy have been equally impressive. In the current domestic season, Dubey claimed six wickets against Nagaland, underlining his consistency and given his recent form, Dubey could attract multiple bids from franchises looking to strengthen their spin departments.
