3 players India should drop after England T20I series

India have more questions than answers at this stage after suffering a T20I series defeat at the hands of England with one match remaining. This comes after the defending 20-over champions shockingly lost 2-0 against Ireland before their English tour.

India have not lost five consecutive games in the shortest format, making a few players' places in the side more vulnerable than ever. However, the Men in Blue have an abundance of players in their roster to choose from should they decide to drop anyone from their current squad.

Prasidh Krishna has had a few excellent seasons in the Indian Premier League for the Gujarat Titans, winning the Purple Cap in 2025. The right-arm seamer, however, has not been able to bring his franchise form to international cricket. The 30-year-old has played seven T20Is in his career, taking just eight wickets at an extremely high economy rate of 11.22.

It is hard for Krishna to maintain a place in the T20 side for the long term, with India giving opportunities to Ashok Sharma and Yash Thakur for their upcoming tour to Zimbabwe.
