There are several players who have been performing well in their countries' domestic and international structure. There has been plenty of discussion certain names in the cricket fraternity around them to feature in the Indian Premier League. There will a mini auction which will precede IPL 2026.
Scouts from the franchises are also expected to be on the lookout for fresh talent. Each team would aim on reinforcing their squad with some quality players. There is no doubt on immense prowess Ben Stokes brings to the table. He has repeatedly demonstrated his cricketing abilities on the field: be it with bat, ball or on the field. Stokes last played in the IPL in 2023, when he played just two games for Chennai Super Kings before picking a toe injury.
Stoke decided to skip IPL 2024 to manage his workload and fitness. He was due to have his knee operated prior to IPL 2024, ahead of England's five-match Test series against India. Coming to IPL 2025, Stokes revealed that he did not enter the mega auction to prolong the twilight of his international career. However, he remains a fan favourite for multiple reasons and will certainly attract massive bids should he decide to participate in the coming season.
