ALL 2026: Match 5, SLLS vs BT Match Prediction – Who will win today’s match between Sri Lankan Lions vs Bangladesh Tigers?
The Sri Lankan Lions (SLLS) will take on the Bangladesh Tigers (BT) in Match 5 of the Asian Legends League 2026 at the Lotus Sports Club Ground in Lusaka on Saturday, August 1.
The Lions started the season strongly with a dominant 15-run win against the Afghanistan Pathans, posting a total of 153 for 6 and successfully defending it by restricting the Pathans to just 138 for 6. They will be looking to dominate the competition by continuing their winning run.
The Tigers will be playing their second game of the season and will start their campaign against the Indian Royals. The team will be led by wicketkeeper batter Dhiman Ghosh and will be looking to put up a respectable showing after their last-placed finish in 2025.
It is expected that the Lotus Sports Club Ground in Lusaka will have a balanced pitch that will benefit both bowlers and hitters. Bowlers may gain early purchase with the new ball, while batters will be able to play shots on the rise. Since this is an afternoon game, dew shouldn't have much of an impact, but spinners could be dangerous if the surface gets dry.
Minod Bhanuka (wk), Upul Tharanga, Mevan Fernando, Asela Gunaratne, Milinda Siriwardana, Thisara Perera (c), Nishan Thilanka Samarakkody, Malinda Pushpakumara, Dinesh Kumara, Vikum Sanjaya, Akalanka Ganegama
Mehedi Maruf, Nazmul Hossain Milon, Dhiman Ghosh (c) (wk), Alok Kapali, Abul Hasan, Muktar Ali, Saqlain Sajib, Shafiul Islam, Ahmed Sadequr, Abdullah Al Mamun, Mizanur Rahman
Milinda Siriwardana was the best batter in the Lions' opening match. The southpaw scored a well-made 35 off 27 balls in the middle order, stabilising the innings in the middle overs. He hit two fours and two sixes in his knock and will be looking to continue his form in the season.
Lions captain Thisara Perera was the pick of the bowlers against the Pathans. The seamer finished with figures of 3 for 13 from four overs, keeping the Pathans' batters at bay, making sure they were unable to settle in the chase. Coming off a Player of the Match performance in the first game, he will be looking to carry forward his form into the rest of the season.
