Angkrish Raghuvanshi is very much like Shubmam Gill of early days: Irfan Pathan

Angkrish Raghuvanshi played a brilliant knock against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Wednesday, May 13, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur to help the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) post a competitive total of 192/4 in 20 overs.
Raghuvanshi didn't just score an important half-century but also registered his highest score in the IPL. The 21-year-old smashed 71 off 46 balls, hitting seven fours and three sixes. He was eventually run-out off the final ball of the innings, finishing with a strike rate of 154.35.
After his gutsy knock, the wicketkeeper-batter received huge praise from former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan. The cricketer-turned-expert said that Raghuvanshi has a good brain and has similarities with Shubman Gill during his early days at KKR. Gill made his IPL debut for KKR before moving to the Gujarat Titans ahead of the 2022 season. He is currently leading India in Tests and ODIs and the Titans in the IPL.
"Angkrish Raghuvanshi looks like a cricketer who has good brains. Very much like Shubmam Gill of early days when he started with KKR," Pathan wrote on his official 'X' (formerly Twitter) handle.
Apart from Raghuvanshi, Cameron Green and Rinku Singh chipped in with solid knocks of 32 (24) and 49 not out, respectively. Earlier, openers Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen played crucial cameos after Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to field first.
The match got underway 75 minutes after the scheduled starting time of 7:30 PM. This was after a spell of rain and thunderstorms. The ground staff did some terrific work and helped the match start without any overs being lost.
Why are Varun Chakravarthy, Romario Shepherd not playing?
KKR need to win this match to stay in contention for a place in the playoffs. Meanwhile, RCB can move to the top of the table with a victory on Wednesday.
