Afghanistan (AFG) and Bangladesh (BAN) will cross swords against each other in the upcoming Match No. 10 of the ongoing ACC Men's Asia Cup 2025 on Tuesday, September 16 in a match which will be held at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Both sides have the chance to seal their spot in the Super Four with a win in this crucial match.

Speaking of the Afghans, their first game of the season came against Hong Kong and the Rashid Khan-led side gained a comfortable victory against the latter. This victory also put them on the top of the points table with a strong net run-rate (NRR) of 4.700. However, they have tough competition in the Group B, as Sri Lanka and the Bangla Tigers are also catching up. A win would confirm Afghanistan a place in the Super Four.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, started off with a victory against Hong Kong. However, the game against the Lankan Lions in their previous fixture saw them face a disappointing defeat. As a result, the third and final group stage encounter for the Litton Das-led side becomes a virtual knockout, if they are to see themselves through to the latter stages of the continental competition.

The Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi has been assisting the teams batting first quite well in the competition so far. The pitch here has the tendency to slow down as the game progresses, resulting in bowlers dominating the latter half of the match, especially when playing under lights. The dew factor hasn't troubled the bowlers throughout the match, owing to excessive heat waves in the city. As a result, batting first seems like a wise decision on this surface.
