India A (IND A) square off against Oman (OMN) in a virtual qualifier in Group B of the ongoing Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament. This vital clash is set to be played at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Tuesday, November 18.

India A started their campaign with a resounding 148-run win against UAE on the back of Vaibhav Suryavanshi's breathtaking ton. They posted 297/4 before restricting UAE to 149/7. However, in their second game, Jitesh Sharma and Co. lost by eight wickets as Pakistan A chased down a 137-run target in just 13.2 overs.

Oman, on the other hand, showed promise with the bat during their 40-run defeat to Pakistan A. In their following encounter, they defeated the UAE, chasing down a 155-run target off the last ball, with two wickets to spare.

The surface might not be too great for batting, but it won't be a minefield either. Batters will have to make the most of the field restrictions inside the powerplay overs. However, losing too many wickets could put a team behind the eight-ball.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Priyansh Arya, Naman Dhir, Jitesh Sharma (C & WK), Nehal Wadhera, Ashutosh Sharma, Ramandeep Singh, Harsh Dubey, Yash Thakur, Gurjapneet Singh, Suyash Sharma.

Hammad Mirza (C), Sufyan Yousaf (WK), Karan Sonavale, Wasim Ali, Narayan Saishiv, Aryan Bisht, Zikria Islam, Sufyan Mehmood, Muzahir Raza, Samay Shrivastava, Shafiq Jan.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been in scintillating form so far in the tournament. He is the leading run-getter, having amassed 189 runs in two matches at an average of 94.50 and a strike rate of 270. If the 14-year-old gets going, it will make the job easier for the batters to follow.

Gurjapneet Singh has bowled well so far in the first two games. The lanky left-arm pacer has picked up three wickets in seven overs at an economy rate of 6.57. He will have an important role to play with the new ball.
