The in-form Pakistan A (PAK A) side face bottom-placed United Arab Emirates (UAE) in match No. 9 of the Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Tuesday, November 18.

Irfan Khan-led Pakistan have already qualified for the semi-finals after winning their first two games comprehensively. They defeated Oman by 40 runs to start their campaign, before defeating arch-rivals India A by eight wickets.

On the other hand, the United Arab Emirates have had a forgettable campaign so far. After the 148-run thrashing from India A, Alishan Sharafu and Co. looked to bounce back against Oman. However, the latter emerged victorious off the last ball, winning a thrilling encounter by just two wickets. UAE are already out of the race to the semi-finals and will be playing for pride.

While the first two games were very high scoring, the pitches have slowed down with each passing game, and it could be a grind for the batters on Tuesday. Spinners are ecpected to play a key role. Batting sides will look to make the most of the powerplay overs.

Ubaid Shah has bowled well so far in the first couple of games. He bagged a three-for against Oman and dismissed the dangerous Ramandeep Singh in the game against India. Shah's spell with the new ball will be intriguing to watch and the UAE batters will have to be wary.
