AUS vs IND 2025: Is Kuldeep Yadav playing in Australia vs India, 3rd ODI?

India finally brought in the services of Kuldeep Yadav as the star spinner was named in India's Playing XI for the ongoing third and final ODI of the series against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, October 25. Meanwhile, pacer Prasidh Krishna also found a spot in the line-up as the second pacer to Mohammed Siraj as the Men in Blue look to bag a consolation win in Sydney.

Shubman Gill, the Indian skipper, lost the toss yet again, which is when the Australians confirmed that they will be batting first in a bid to whitewash the tourists, having already claimed the series with consecutive wins in Perth and Adelaide. Gill, whose side will be chasing the target, said that he would have loved to bowl first anyway.

Australian captain Mitchell Marsh confirmed a solitary change for the hosts, with Nathan Ellis returning to the line-up to replace Xavier Bartlett. For India, the Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav replaced Arshdeep Singh and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. This is the first time that the Indian team has gone with a specialist spinner on the ongoing tour.

"We would have bowled first. Have a target on the total and then try to chase down, I think we got what we wanted. We had just enough runs (in the last game) on the board and a couple of chances coming our way which we couldn't take. That happens in the game of cricket, you've got to take your chances. The game was going on pretty even till about the 40th over. In the end, they played well. Hopefully this game is going to be a good one for us. Two changes. Kuldeep and Prasidh come in for Arshdeep and Reddy."
