India Women secured a thrilling 17-run victory over Australia Women in the third T20I on February 21 at the Adelaide Oval.
Batting first, India Women posted a competitive 176/8 in their 20 overs. led the charge with a superb 82, while Jemimah Rodrigues provided strong support with 59 runs. For Australia Women, Annabel Sutherland was among the wickets, finishing with figures of 2/34.
In response, Australia Women managed 159/9 in their 20 overs. Ashleigh Gardner top-scored with a fighting 57, but the rest of the batting unit struggled to keep up with the required rate. Smriti Mandhana was the standout batting performer of the match, delivering a commanding knock at the top of the order. The India Women opener scored 82 off 55 balls, striking eight fours and three sixes at an impressive strike rate of 149.09. Mandhana also stitched together a crucial 121-run partnership for the second wicket in just 82 balls with Jemimah Rodrigues.

Shreyanka Patil emerged as the top bowling performer of the match with a decisive spell under pressure. She returned impressive figures of 3/22 in her four overs, maintaining an excellent economy rate of 5.50. Patil struck at crucial moments, dismissing Georgia Voll, Ellyse Perry, and Annabel Sutherland, three key batters in the Australian line-up.
Smriti Mandhana was named Player of the Match for her outstanding 82-run knock in the third T20I. Mandhana finished the three-match T20I series with 129 runs at an impressive average of 64.50, emerging as the leading run-scorer of the series.
Australia Women will take on India Women in the first ODI on February 24 at The Gabba, Brisbane.
