Australia vs India Prediction, 2nd ODI – Who will win today’s match between AUS vs IND?

Australia (AUS) will be hosting India (IND) in the second ODI of the three-match series on Thursday, October 23 at the Adelaide Oval, an iconic venue located in the picturesque city of the South Australian coast. The Australian side clinched the previous contest.
Australia, led by Mitchell Marsh, looked in terrific form as a unit in the encounter in Perth, as they chased down the 132-run target (via DLS method) by a comfortable seven-wicket margin. However, they will be challenged by the opposition batters in the upcoming contest, as the rain isn't expected to hinder the proceedings, unlike the case was in Perth.
India, on the other hand, were led by Shubman Gill for the first time in the 50-over internationals, and endured a disappointing return against Marsh & Co. Nonetheless, they will be backing their beliefs in the upcoming contest to draw levels with the Aussies. This is also going to be a must-win contest for the visitors, if they are to keep the series alive for the third and final ODI in Sydney.
The pitch at the Adelaide Oval offers an evenly-balanced deck for a mouthwatering contest between the bat and the ball. Moreover, the amount of bounce and carry on the surface over the years has always seen fast bowlers dominate throughout the length of the match. However, the ball comes onto the bat pretty nicely and the faster outfields gives batters the full value if they manage to hit in the gaps. Therefore, a total over 300 can be considered a winning total at this venue.
Mitchell Marsh (C), Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne, Mitchell Owen, Matthew Short, Josh Phillippe (WK), Cooper Connolly, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Ellis, Matt Kuhnemann
Shubman Gill (C), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh
Ace batter Virat Kohli endured a disappointing return to the international arena in the Perth encounter, getting dismissed for an eight-ball duck off a Mitchell Starc delivery. However, given the truckload of runs he has scored in ODIs Down Under, it can be expected that the Indian batting maestro is seen at his best in the upcoming clash. A big score is always on the cards when Kohli plays and that makes him a batter to watch out for in the epic fixture on Thursday.
Hazlewood broke the back of the Indian batting order in the opening match of the series, getting the big wickets of former skipper Rohit Sharma and vice captain Shreyas Iyer. He was very economical with the ball, as his side was able to restrict the Men in Blue to a paltry total in a rain-marred outing in Perth. The ace pacer is expected to be among the wickets in the Adelaide contest as well. As a result, he will be the bowler to watch out for the Shubman Gill-led side.
