BBL 2025-26: Chris Lynn commits to full season with Adelaide Strikers

Chris Lynn, the attacking opening batter, has confirmed his return for the Adelaide Strikers, after not being fully available for the side in the previous couple of seasons. He will now be seen for the full season of the Big Bash League 2025-26, as the cricketer is all set to don the Strikers' jersey for the fourth consecutive time.

And Lynn is not just back, but he wishes to take the side to the finals with his batting contributions in the upcoming season of the marquee T20 event. He believes that the Adelaide Strikers boast an amazing squad ahead of the upcoming season, and is also hopeful of producing positive results with the team.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back to the Adelaide Oval and helping the team go deep into finals this year. We've got an exciting squad this season and I can't wait to see what we can produce when we take to the field," Lynn was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

Meanwhile, Strikers head coach and former Australia captain Tim Paine believes that Lynn returning to the squad is a big announcement for the side. Paine believes that Lynn is great with the bat, acknowledging his power-hitting skills. However, what also shines about Lynn is immense experience and adding leadership within the dressing room, Paine reckoned.

"We're thrilled to have Chris returning to the Strikers as we strive for a deep finals campaign. While his batting exploits speak for themselves, his experience and leadership are equally invaluable to our emerging players within the squad," he expressed.

Playing for the Adelaide-based side, Lynn has aggregated a staggering 950 runs from 25 innings, averaging an astonishing 43.18, while striking the ball at 156.93, which is exceptional. In addition to that, he is also the all-time highest run-getter in the BBL history. As a result, his commitment to playing the full season comes as great news for the side, which will be led by Matt Short.
