BBL 2025-26: Match 10, STR vs STA Match Prediction – Who will win today’s BBL match between Adelaide Strikers vs Melbourne Stars?

Adelaide Strikers (STR) are all set to host Melbourne Stars (STA) in match No. 10 of the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2025-26 at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday, December 23.
The Strikers finished last in the previous edition of the BBL. However, they made a strong start to this season, defeating Sydney Sixers in their opening fixture by three wickets, chasing down a 160-run target with three balls to spare.
On the other hand, Melbourne Stars, who were ousted in the knockout fixture last season, started their BBL 2025-26 campaign with a comprehensive win against Hobart Hurricanes. Marcus Stoinis' men chased down a 159-run target in 16 overs, with eight wickets in hand.
The Adelaide Oval will be hosting its first game in BBL 2025-26. The venue is expected to provide a balanced surface. Bowlers who are willing to bend their back will get good bounce. Batters can score a lot of runs once they give themselves a bit of time in the middle.
Matthew Short (C), Chris Lynn, Jason Sangha, Liam Scott, Alex Ross, Jamie Overton, Harry Nielsen (WK), Luke Wood, Hasan Ali, Henry Thornton, Lloyd Pope.
Joe Clarke, Thomas Rogers, Campbell Kellaway, Marcus Stoinis (C), Glenn Maxwell, Sam Harper (WK), Hilton Cartwright, Tom Curran, Mitchell Swepson, Haris Rauf, Peter Siddle.
Marcus Stoinis got his campaign off to a rollicking start. The veteran all-rounder smashed an unbeaten 62 off 31 balls, belting seven fours and two sixes. If he is in that kind of form, no boundary will be big enough to contain him.
Luke Wood has the ability to swing the ball upfront and can make life difficult for the opposition openers. He will look to make the most of the new ball. If he can strike inside the powerplay, it will put Melbourne under a lot of pressure.
