BCCI seeks new title sponsor as potential bids near INR 5 crore per match
The Board of Control for Cricket in India is in the process of securing a new title sponsor for its home international matches and domestic tournaments, with potential bids reportedly being INR 4.85 crore per match for the next couple of years. The development follows the conclusion of the BCCI's previous title sponsorship arrangement with the IDFC FIRST Bank, which ran from September 2023 until August 2026.
The BCCI released its Invitation to Tender on July 20, 2026, setting a document purchase deadline of August 4, 2026, and a final bid submission deadline of August 13, 2026. Reports indicate that the bids received after the August 13 deadline did not meet the board's expectations, prompting the BCCI to enter further discussions with prospective partners directly.
The total value of sponsorship for the next couple of years can see the Indian board generating a whopping INR 171 crore through the title sponsor, which is a 15.5 per cent increase in per-match revenue.
According to Cricbuzz, the title sponsorship package on offer is a comprehensive one. It covers all home international matches across formats — Tests, ODIs and T20Is — as well as major domestic tournaments, including the Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy and Irani Cup, along with age-group competitions. The breadth of the rights on offer makes this one of the more significant sponsorship packages in Indian cricket.
The BCCI is understood to be in discussions with several companies as it looks to finalise a new title sponsor. Among those reportedly in talks with the board are Google Gemini, Spinny and SBI Life, though the specific status of bids from each of these parties has not been independently confirmed.
The range of potential partners reflects the scale and commercial appeal of the rights package. Covering the full breadth of India's home cricket calendar — from marquee Test series to domestic red-ball competitions — the sponsorship offers significant brand visibility across multiple formats and audiences throughout the season.
The urgency around finalising a new title sponsor is tied directly to the upcoming home international season. India's first home international of the season is scheduled for September 27, 2026, when West Indies are set to tour India, and the BCCI will be keen to have a sponsor confirmed and in place before that fixture.
With the August 13 bid deadline having passed without a satisfactory outcome, the board is now working through direct conversations with potential partners to close the deal ahead of the season opener
