Bihar's Harsh Vardhan becomes youngest president of a cricket association in India at 24

The Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) has announced the results of its 2025 office-bearer elections on September 28, with Harsh Vardhan elected unopposed as president. At just 24 years of age, he stands as the youngest BCA chief, injecting fresh energy in the leadership of the state’s apex governing body.
Furthermore, Priya Kumari is set to take the role of vice president, while Ziaul Arefin will take charge as secretary. Abhishek Nandan has been appointed as Treasurer, and Rohit Kumar will serve as the Joint Secretary. All other office bearers were also elected unopposed, with the results confirmed on Sunday, September 28.
Rajesh Kumar was appointed as a Member of the Committee of Management (District Representative), and Gyaneshwar Gautam was elected as a Member of the Governing Council.
The elections were conducted under the supervision of retd. IAS M Modassir, who acted as the Electoral Officer.
"We are humbled by the faith and support shown by all stakeholders of Bihar cricket. Our collective priority will be to strengthen cricket at the grassroots level, build robust infrastructure, and create more opportunities for young and aspiring cricketers across the state. Together, we are committed to taking Bihar cricket to new heights," Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the Bihar Cricket Association has also confirmed that the selection trials and preparation camp for Men’s Senior and Under-23 teams will commence from Tuesday, September 30 at Patna's Moin-ul-Haq Stadium. The players have been asked to report to the stadium on September 29.
The BCA recently arranged a physiotherapy training session on player fitness and injury management, with an aim to ensure that the state players stay physically robust and recover quickly in the event of an injury.
