Sylhet Titans (SLT) take on Rangpur Riders (RGR) in match No. 12 of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Friday, January 2.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz-led Sylhet have had a decent start to the season. In three matches, they have registered two wins and faced defeat once. In their most recent game, they defeated the Dhaka Capitals by six runs in a thrilling contest.
On the other hand, Nurul Hasan's Rangpur Riders will have to pick themselves up after suffering an agonising defeat in the Super Over to Rajshahi Warriors on Thursday. They have played two matches, winning one and losing one.
The pitches at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium have been quite balanced. Most of the games have witnessed fine contests between bat and ball. Batters have had to work hard for their runs. Once they got set at the crease, they scored a lot of runs. The team batting first should look to post a target in excess of 170 to put the opposition under pressure.
This is going to be the first meeting between the Sylhet Titans and the Rangpur Riders.

Faheem Ashraf is at the top of the list for the leading wicket-takers this season. He bagged a five-for in the first game against Chattogram Royals before following it up with a three-wicket haul against Rajshahi Warriors. He will be one of the bowlers to watch out for on Friday.
