Sylhet Titans (SLT) take on Dhaka Capitals (DHCP) in match No. 18 of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, January 8.

Sylhet Titans have played seven matches, managing to register three wins. However, they have encountered four defeats as well. In their last game, they suffered a 14-run defeat to Chattogram Royals after conceding 198 runs, the most in an innings in BPL 2025-26.

Dhaka Capitals have won just two games so far and lost three. They are languishing at No. 5 on the points table, only above Noakhali Express. However, the Capitals would be relieved after finally ending their three-match winning streak in the last game against Noakhali.

The Sylhet International Cricket Stadium has been favourable to chasing teams. The highest first-innings total in BPL 2025-26 was scored by Chattogram Royals against Sylhet Titans in match No. 16 on Wednesday. Captain who wins the toss would want to bowl first.

Sylhet Titans and Dhaka Capitals have faced each other only once. On January 1, 2026, the Titans beat the Capitals by six runs in a humdinger of a contest.

Tawfique Khan, Rony Talukdar, Parvez Hossain Emon (WK), Afif Hossain, Moeen Ali, Mehidy Hasan Miraz (C), Azmatullah Omarzai, Ethan Brookes, Nasum Ahmed, Ruyel Miah, Khaled Ahmed.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Abdullah Al Mamun, Irfan Sukkur, Mohammad Mithun (C & WK), Nasir Hossain, Shamim Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Saifuddin, Ziaur Rahman Sharifi, Taskin Ahmed.

The 34-year-old Nasir Hossain has been in brilliant form this season. In four innings, he has scored 131 runs at an average of 43.67 and has a strike rate of 136.46. He could be the batter to watch out for on Thursday.

Nasum Ahmed could play a key role on Thursday. The left-arm spinner has accounted for eight wickets in seven matches so far. He is averaging 19.38 and has a mind-boggling economy rate of just 5.96. The Capitals will have to be wary of his four-over spell.
