Noakhali Express (NOE) will lock horns with Rangpur Riders (RGR) in Match No. 20 of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
Noakhali Express have already been eliminated and would want to finish their maiden BPL campaign on a high with a win against the Riders. They have won only two matches this season, and one of them came against Rangpur Riders earlier this month.
Rangpur Riders, on the other hand, have sealed their place in the playoffs. They are currently positioned at No. 4, with five wins and four defeats from nine matches. The Litton Das-led side will be relieved after ending their three-match losing streak on Saturday as they defeated Dhaka Capitals by 11 runs.
In the first three matches played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka this season in the BPL, the average first-innings score has been around 151. Two out of the three games have been won by teams batting first. However, expect the captain who wins the toss to bowl first and assess the conditions. Dew won't play a role as the game will be over by evening.
In the first-ever meeting between Noakhali Express and Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League, the former emerged victorious by nine runs. This match took place earlier in the season in Sylhet.
Hassan Eisakhil, Soumya Sarkar, Jaker Ali (WK), Haider Ali (C), Habibur Rahman Sohan, Munim Shahriar, Sabbir Hossain, Hasan Mahmud, Mehedi Hasan Rana, Zahir Khan, Ihsanullah.
Kyle Mayers, Litton Das (C), Dawid Malan, Towhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah, Khushdil Shah, Nurul Hasan (WK), Faheem Ashraf, Nahid Rana, Mustafizur Rahman, Rakibul Hasan.
Dawid Malan has been in fine form this season. In seven innings, he has scored 281 runs at an average of 46.83 and a strike rate of 116.59. He has already notched up three half-centuries and will look to head into the playoffs on a high.
Hasan Mahmud has picked up 15 wickets in nine matches so far. He is averaging 12.60 and has a strike rate of 12.53. The right-arm pacer uses the slower ball to great effect, especially on pitches where the ball holds up a bit.
