Rangpur Riders and Chattogram Royals will square off in Match 5 of BPL 2025-26 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on December 29.

The Riders were last involved in the 2025 edition of the Global Super League. They reached the final but were unable to get past the finish line. They enter BPL 2025-26 with a solid squad with several prominent players such as Litton Das, Dawid Malan, Kyle Mayers and Mustafizur Rahman.

The Royals won their tournament-opening encounter by 65 runs against Noakhali Express. An all-round bowling effort followed by a well-paced 80 from Mirza Baig inflicted a big defeat on the Express.

Out of the four matches played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in the ongoing installment of the BPL, three have been won by teams batting second. Fast bowlers can expect to find some movement off the deck. The pitch has had the tendency of becoming more flat as the match progresses.

This will be the first meeting between Rangpur Riders and Chattogram Royals in T20s.
