Dhaka Capitals (DHCP) square off against Rangpur Riders (RGR) in match No. 8 of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, December 30.

Mohammad Mithun-led Dhaka Capitals got off to a fantastic start in BPL 2025-26. They got the better of Rajshahi Warriors in their opening fixture, chasing down a 133-run target with seven balls and five wickets to spare.

Meanwhile, Rangpur Riders started their campaign with a thumping seven-wicket win against Chattogram Royals. They made light work of a 103-run target, romping to victory with seven wickets and as many as five overs left in the bank.

The surface tends to slow down in the second innings at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. However, in the first six matches played in the BPL this season, five have been won by chasing teams. The average first-innings total is around 144. The captain who wins the toss would be tempted to field first.

Faheem Ashraf bowled a magnificent spell in the first game against the Royals. He finished with mind-boggling figures of 5/17 in 3.5 overs. The Pakistani all-rounder will hold the key, especially with the new ball.
