The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 is all set to deliver its biggest edition yet, with the tournament expanding to seven teams for the first time in its history. The action gets underway on August 7, with Jamaica Kingsmen making their tournament debut against Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, while the final will be played on September 20 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

A total of 39 matches are scheduled across the tournament, including 35 league-stage fixtures and four playoff games. Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Jamaica Kingsmen, Saint Lucia Kings, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and reigning champions Trinbago Knight Riders will battle for the coveted CPL trophy. With matches spread across multiple Caribbean nations and a significantly expanded fixture list, fans can look forward to another thrilling season of T20 cricket.

The biggest change ahead of the 2026 edition is the addition of Jamaica Kingsmen, taking the number of participating franchises to seven. Their arrival has increased the number of league-stage fixtures to 35, making this the largest CPL season ever.

The tournament will follow a familiar playoff structure. The top two teams at the end of the league stage will meet in Qualifier 1, with the winner progressing directly to the final. The third and fourth-placed teams will contest the Eliminator, while the winner of that match will face the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 to determine the second finalist. All four playoff matches, including the final, will be hosted at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
