The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 will be staged across South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia in October-November 2027, marking the first time the tournament will be jointly hosted by three African nations.
For South Africa, this is a return to hosting duties after nearly two decades. The country last held an ICC men’s event in 2009 with the Champions Trophy, and before that, the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 and the 2003 ODI World Cup. Women’s cricket has also seen major events in the Rainbow Nation, including the 2005 Women’s ODI World Cup and the 2023 T20 World Cup final where South Africa finished runners-up to Australia.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed the creation of a local organising committee and announced venues for the showpiece event. Out of the 54 matches, 44 will be hosted in South Africa, while Zimbabwe and Namibia will share 10 matches.
Note: Namibia, as a co-host, must still qualify through the standard ICC pathway since they are not a full member.
