Deepak Chahar shares apologetic post for wife Jaya – here’s the reason

The fast bowler recently shared an apologetic yet light-hearted post for his wife, Jaya Bharadwaj, after forgetting her birthday.

The right-arm pacer admitted that the oversight was due to sheer exhaustion following a long day of cricketing duties in the Duleep Trophy, where he reportedly bowled across 90 overs of fielding. His candid admission showcased the demanding schedules professional cricketers endure, often leaving little time for personal commitments.

Chahar took to Instagram to issue what fans are calling one of the most endearing birthday messages in recent memory. He wrote:

“Happy birthday love @jayab05. I would like to tell everybody how understanding and loving my wife is, as I forgot her birthday but still she forgave me, as she understood this can happen after 90 overs of fielding. Next time I will remember. @jayab05 #happybirthday #wife.”

This isn’t the first time Chahar and Jaya’s relationship has captured public imagination. Their love story is famously rooted in cricket, with Chahar proposing to Jaya during an IPL 2021 match while representing Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The memorable moment saw Chahar walking into the stands after a game to pop the question in front of fans, a gesture that went viral instantly.
