Dewald Brevis smashes outrageous no-look six during London Spirit's successful chase against MI London in The Hundred 2026

Dewald Brevis produced one of the shots of The Hundred 2026 with a stunning no-look six during London Spirit's run chase against MI London in Match 12 at The Oval on Wednesday, July 29.

The South African youngster entertained the crowd with a breathtaking display of power-hitting as London Spirit chased down 165 with 11 balls to spare, securing their first win of the season. While Lhuan-dre Pretorius laid the foundation with a blistering 64 off 28 balls, Brevis added the finishing touches with an unbeaten 37 off just 18 deliveries.

The moment of the match came in the closing stages of the chase when Olly Stone pitched one full on the pads. Brevis stayed perfectly balanced, kept his head down through the shot, and effortlessly whipped the ball over deep mid-wicket for a massive six.

What made the stroke even more remarkable was that the 22-year-old barely looked at where the ball was travelling after making contact.

Chasing a target of 165, London Spirit got off to a flying start thanks to Jonny Bairstow and Lhuan-dre Pretorius. The pair raced to 50 off just 18 balls, with Pretorius dominating MI London's bowling attack.

The young left-hander smashed seven sixes during his explosive 64 off 28 balls, bringing up his maiden half-century in The Hundred from just 23 deliveries. Although Trent Boult eventually dismissed him for 64 with the score on 101, the damage had already been done.

Brevis then ensured there were no late hiccups, remaining unbeaten on 37 off 18 balls, while James Rew supported him with an unbeaten 19.
