New Delhi Tigers (NDT) square off against Central Delhi Kings (CDK) in match No. 33 of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday, August 24.
Himmat Singh-led North Delhi Tigers have managed only three wins out of the five matches they have played so far. They have lost five games and find themselves just outside the top four. After losing five games in a row, the Tigers have won back-to-back matches heading into the upcoming clash.
Central Delhi Kings have already registered five wins from seven games. They have suffered only one defeat, and one of their games ended without a result. The Kings are placed at No. 2 on the table. They suffered their first defeat of the season in their most recent fixture against West Delhi Lions by three runs.
The pitches have slowed down considerably after repeated usage, but they are still quite decent for batting. Chasing is still the more favourable option. Scoring runs inside the powerplay is going to be crucial. Also, wickets in hand could help teams capitalise in the back end of the innings.
Shivam Gupta (WK), Dhruv Kaushik, Parth Bali, Lakshay Thareja, Himmat Singh (C), Pradyuman Sanan, Deepak Punia, Rahul Dagar, Vaibhav Rawal, Prince Yadav, Pankaj Jaswal.
Siddharth Joon (WK), Yash Dhull, Yugal Saini, Jonty Sidhu (C), Aditya Bhandari, Pranshu Vijayran, Jasvir Sehrawat, Arun Pundir, Tejas Baroka, Simarjeet Singh, Money Grewal.
Yash Dhull is second on the list of leading run-getters in DPL 2025. The right-handed batter has scored 364 runs in six innings at a mind-boggling average of 121.33 and a strike rate of 172.51. He will look to continue his purple patch on Sunday.
Money Grewal has been brilliant with the ball so far. The right-arm pacer has picked up 12 wickets in six matches at an average of 15.42. He will play an important role for CDK inside the powerplay as well as in the slog overs.
