While the Indian senior team is getting ready for its UK tour where they play five Tests against England, the India U-19 squad has also been announced. The team will be featuring in five One-Dayers and two Test matches and will feature some exciting players. The side will be led by IPL sensation and CSK opener Ayush Mhatre, and wicketkeeper Abhingyan Kundu will be his deputy. Breakout star Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also a part of the side.

Unfortunately, there have been some major changes within the team, as left-arm pacer Aditya Rana and all-rounder Khilan Patel will be missing out on the tour due to injury. While Aditya Rana has sustained a lower back stress fracture, Patel suffered a stress reaction in his right leg during a training camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The two will be replaced by Deepesh and Naman Pushpak, who were earlier on the list of standby players for the tour.

“The Junior Cricket Committee has named D. Deepesh and Naman Pushpak as replacements for Aditya Rana and Khilan Patel, respectively, for the upcoming India U19 tour of England. Both Deepesh and Naman were part of the standby players’ list for the tour. Aditya sustained a stress fracture in his lower back, while Khilan suffered a stress reaction in his right leg during the ongoing high-performance camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence,” the BCCI said via a release on Monday.

Squad: Ayush Mhatre (Captain), Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Vihaan Malhotra, Maulyarajsinh Chavda, Rahul Kumar, Abhigyan Kundu (Vice-Captain & WK), Harvansh Singh (WK), R. S. Ambrish, Kanishk Chouhan, Henil Patel, Yudhajit Guha, Pranav Raghavendra, Mohammed Enaan, Anmoljeet Singh, D. Deepesh, Naman Pushpak
