ENG vs IND 2026: India announce ODI squad for England tour, Virat Kohli included subject to fitness clearance
The BCCI has announced India's squad for the three-match ODI series against England, which begins on July 14. Shubman Gill will lead the side, while Shreyas Iyer has been named vice-captain. Virat Kohli also returns to the squad, although his participation remains subject to fitness clearance.
The Men in Blue have made only a few changes following the ODI series against Afghanistan. The biggest addition is the return of Jasprit Bumrah, who replaces Prince Yadav in the squad. The pace attack will feature Bumrah alongside Harshit Rana, Gurnoor Brar, Arshdeep Singh, and Prasidh Krishna. The spin department includes Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar, while Nitish Kumar Reddy adds balance as a pace-bowling all-rounder.
Harsh Dubey, who played two matches and claimed four wickets in the Afghanistan series, has not been included in the squad. Meanwhile, Brar earned his place after impressing with his performances and disciplined spells during the Afghanistan tour.
