England sealed the three-match T20I series against West Indies with a four-wicket victory in the second match, held on June 8 at Bristol. England won the toss and opted to bowl first, making a single change by bringing in pacer Luke Wood for Matthew Potts. West Indies also made a change, with Akeal Hosein coming into the playing XI.
Luke Wood struck immediately by removing opener Evin Lewis on the very first ball of the innings. But, Johnson Charles and captain Shai Hope built a solid 90-run stand off 66 deliveries for the second wicket. Hope narrowly missed a half-century, falling to Adil Rashid for 49, while Charles followed soon after, dismissed by Wood for 47.
Rovman Powell and Sherfane Rutherford added some quick runs with a 31-run partnership off just 13 balls. Powell smashed 34 from 15 before being dismissed by Brydon Carse.

In the death overs, Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd produced late fireworks, adding 42 runs in just 14 balls. The pair took Rashid for five sixes in the 19th over alone. Holder's explosive 29 off 9 balls helped West Indies post a total of 196/6 in their 20 overs. For England, Luke Wood returned with figures of 2/25 in his four overs.
England were chasing 197 and they lost Jamie Smith early, but Jos Buttler and Ben Duckett steadied the innings with a 63-run partnership for the second wicket. Duckett made a quick 30 off 18 balls before falling to Shepherd, while Buttler scored 47 before being dismissed by Hosein.
In the final overs, Jacob Bethell and Tom Banton finished the job comfortably. Bethell slammed 26 off just 10 deliveries, while Banton contributed 30 off 11 balls to guide England to victory with nine balls to spare and clinch the series 2-0.
The third and final T20I will be played on June 10 in Southampton, where West Indies will aim for a consolation win.
