England to host India for mixed-disability teams' T20I series, finale to be played at Lord's

The England Men's Mixed Disability squad will face India across seven T20Is in August, with matches starting Monday, August 5, at the County Ground in Derby at 14:30 BST. The England Disability Cricket Board announced the series on its official Instagram handle, marking the second international engagement between the two nations in this format.

The teams previously met last summer in the inaugural international series of mixed-disability cricket, with England emerging on top, and continued their winning run during their winter tour of India in a hotly contested affair. The Mixed Disability format brings together players from physical disability, learning disability and Deaf teams to form one combined squad.

The series begins Monday, August 5, at Derby, with the second match also at the County Ground on Friday, August 7, at 14:30 BST. The third T20I takes place on Sunday, August 9, at Grace Road in Leicester, also at 14:30 BST. The fourth match moves to the County Ground in Hove on Wednesday, August 12, at 14:30 BST. Matches then shift to Arundel, with the fifth T20I on Saturday, August 15, at 14:30 BST and the sixth on Sunday, August 16, at 14:30 BST. The series finale takes place on Wednesday, August 19, at Lord's at 15:30 BST.

The England Disability Cricket Board's Head of Disability Cricket Ian Martin stated the two series between the teams have been supremely high quality, showcasing the highest standards of play. The Lord's finale carries added prestige, as the historic venue recently hosted England's first Women's Test match. Having both men's and women's disability cricket events at such an iconic ground underscores the growing prominence of disability sport in cricket's calendar.

Captain Callum Flynn's men will be seeking to extend their winning record against India this summer. With the seventh match at Lord's potentially serving as a decider, the series promises competitive cricket across premier English venues and reinforces the global reach of the mixed-disability format on the international stage.
