ETPL 2026: Match 8, ECR vs DBG Match Prediction – Who will win today’s ETPL match between Edinburgh Castle Rockers vs Dublin Guardians?
Edinburgh Castle Rockers (ECR) take on Dublin Guardians (DBG) in Match 8 of the ongoing European T20 Premier League (ETPL) 2026 at the Sportpark Duivesteijn in Voorburg on Sunday, August 30.
The Castle Rockers started their campaign with a dominant win over the Glasgow Cosmic. Trent Boult's five-wicket haul saw the Cosmic bundled out for just 115, which was chased down with seven wickets in hand. Edinburgh's next game against Amsterdam Flames was washed out, preserving their unbeaten start to the season.
The Guardians started their campaign with a loss against the Belfast Wolves, conceding a total of 184 for 7 before being restricted to a paltry 132 for 9. They are playing two games in two days and will be looking to gather momentum from the congested schedule.

The Sportpark Duivesteijn in Voorburg has an average score of 158 in the last 10 T20 games it has hosted. A balanced surface is expected to greet the two teams on Thursday. The captain who wins the toss would want to bowl first and assess the conditions.
This is going to be the first match between these two teams.
JJ Smuts, Ross Adair, Andries Gous (wk), Brandon McMullen, Laurie Evans, Mitchell Santner (c), Tom Curran, Gareth Delany, Trent Boult, Mark Watt, Jack Jarvis
James Vince, Muhammad Waseem, Harry Tector, Sanjay Krishnamurthi, Daryl Mitchell, Benjamin Calitz (wk), George Dockrell, Ravichandran Ashwin (c), Chris Wood, Joshua Little, Matthew Hollard
Wicketkeeper-batter Andreis Gous has had a sensational spell with the bat in the recent past. He continued his rich vein of form against the Cosmos, scoring a 28-ball 40. The southpaw would be looking to continue that form and convert it into a big score.
Trent Boult was on fire in the first match of the season, taking his first T20 five-wicket haul. The veteran left-arm seamer finished with figures of 5 for 24 in a dominant bowling performance. He will be looking to add to those figures as the season progresses.
