Faf du Plessis and Rotterdam Dockers teammates join Ravi Kishan's viral dance trend amid ETPL 2026
Faf du Plessis and his Rotterdam Dockers teammates have taken a break from the intensity of the European T20 Premier League 2026 to join the viral dance trend started by actor-politician Ravi Kishan. A video of the South African captain and his fellow players attempting Kishan's popular dance steps has circulated widely on social media during the ongoing tournament.
The clip was shared on X and quickly drew attention from cricket fans, who reacted to the sight of du Plessis showing off his dancing alongside his teammates in the middle of a competitive T20 campaign. Ravi Kishan's dance moves had already gone viral before the cricketers picked them up, and the cricketers' version added fresh momentum to the trend.

Du Plessis is not only captaining the Rotterdam Dockers in the ETPL but is also one of the franchise's co-owners, alongside Jonty Rhodes and Heinrich Klaasen. The Dockers are one of six franchises in the competition, which also features Amsterdam Flames, Edinburgh Castle Rockers, Belfast Wolves, Glasgow Cosmic and Dublin Guardians.
Rotterdam Dockers opened their ETPL 2026 campaign with a five-wicket win over Amsterdam Flames on August 27 at Sportpark Westvliet in Voorburg, The Hague. However, their subsequent clash against Belfast Wolves on Saturday was washed out.
The ETPL follows a double round-robin group stage of 30 matches, with two knockout matches to follow, making 32 matches in total. The group-stage topper qualifies directly for the final. Other notable franchise owners in the competition include Rahul Dravid at Dublin Guardians, Glenn Maxwell and Rohan Lund at Belfast Wolves, and Matthew Hayden and Chris Gayle at Glasgow Cosmic. The group stage continues across all six franchises.
