However, the required rate kept climbing, and wickets fell at regular intervals. India’s bowling attack maintained complete control throughout the chase. Arshdeep Singh struck crucial blows in the top and middle order, while Gurnoor impressed with his pace and bounce to claim three wickets. Debutant Prince Yadav also enjoyed a memorable outing, picking up two wickets as Afghanistan were eventually bowled out for 232.

While Gill and Kishan grabbed the headlines, India’s bowling unit ensured there was no way back for Afghanistan.
