North Zone’s bowling unit produced a disciplined performance despite the challenging conditions on Day 1. Anshul Kamboj showcased persistence, picking up a crucial wicket while maintaining a steady economy rate, while Nishant Sindhu was the most successful, claiming two wickets with his tight left-arm spin and keeping the run flow in check through extended spells. Auiq Nabi provided control with his medium pace, conceding just 41 runs in 14 overs and keeping the batters honest. The attack rotated well and stuck to their plans, troubling the South Zone top order periodically.
While the bowlers struggled to break through Jagadeesan’s resistance, their collective effort created pressure and tested the rest of the South Zone lineup. Heading into the next day, the North Zone bowlers will be keen to strike early, looking to turn their disciplined showing into decisive breakthroughs.
