India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal sparked a viral trend after he hilariously matched his teammates with Bollywood movie titles during a rapid-fire segment on Aaj Talk News Channel.
The 23-year-old turned what began as a fun chat into a social-media sensation, assigning blockbuster titles like Dhurandhar, Baahubali and Saiyaara to some of Indian cricket’s biggest stars.
The segment quickly caught attention online, blending two of India’s biggest passions – cricket and Bollywood – and giving fans a light-hearted glimpse into Jaiswal’s camaraderie with senior players.
When asked to name “Team India ka Dhurandhar”, Jaiswal wasted no time in choosing Rohit Sharma, aligning the former India captain with Ranveer Singh’s high-octane action hit that has become shorthand for dominance and swagger.
The romantic title “Saiyaara” – from Mohit Suri’s musical blockbuster – went to Virat Kohli, a playful pick that instantly lit up the studio and left fans drawing parallels between Kohli’s elegance at the crease and the film’s emotional charm.
In one of the segment’s most unexpected answers, Jaiswal named Yuzvendra Chahal as “Baahubali”. Instead of physical might, he credited the leg-spinner’s mental strength, competitive edge and ability to deliver under pressure.
For “Dabangg”, the young batter chose Hardik Pandya, calling the all-rounder the perfect embodiment of style, flair and fearless attitude – traits that have long defined Pandya’s on-field persona.
The only time Jaiswal looked inward was when the host tossed up the title “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”. With a laugh, he said, “Jawani to meri hi chal rahi hai,” acknowledging his own youthful rise and brimming confidence as a fast-ascending all-format player for India.

Beyond filmi associations, the opener also offered candid insights about the dressing room. He called Virat Kohli and KL Rahul the most “dildaar” (large-hearted) teammates, praising their generosity and guidance.
Jaiswal then playfully labelled Kuldeep Yadav as the squad’s laziest member, a comment delivered with good-natured humour that left viewers – and Kuldeep’s fans – laughing.
As Jaiswal continues solidifying his place in India’s top order, the fun segment has further cemented his growing popularity – not only as a cricketer but also as a charismatic, relatable personality among fans.
