GT vs RCB: IPL 2026 Records and Stats at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

The Gujarat Titans (GT) will face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on April 30 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
GT currently sit fifth on the points table, having secured four wins from eight matches. They are coming off a strong away victory against the Chennai Super Kings and will aim to continue their momentum as they return to home conditions, looking to register their fifth win of the season.
On the other hand, RCB are placed second with six wins from eight games. They head into this clash in dominant form after a commanding victory over the Delhi Capitals, where they bowled them out for just 75 runs and chased the target within seven overs. The defending champions will be eager to build on this momentum and secure their seventh win of the tournament.
The Narendra Modi Stadium is one of the largest cricket venues in the world. The surface here has traditionally favoured teams batting first, but the presence of dew in the later stages often brings chasing teams back into the contest. The pitch tends to slow down as the match progresses, offering increasing assistance to bowlers. It suits hit-the-deck pacers who can extract variable bounce, while also providing grip and turn for spinners, making them effective in the middle overs.
GT and RCB have faced each other seven times in the IPL, with RCB holding the edge with four victories. Earlier this season, the two sides met at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where both teams showcased strong batting performances, while the bowling units struggled to make an impact. However, conditions in Ahmedabad could present a more balanced contest.
While batters are still likely to find runs, bowlers, especially those who consistently hit the right lengths, can play a decisive role. Coming into this clash, RCB appear well-rounded, with contributions from all departments. In contrast, GT have shown some vulnerability in their middle order, an area they will need to address quickly to avoid further setbacks.
