Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is well-known for his love for luxury cars. The cricketer recently made headlines by adding a Lamborghini Urus SE, the brand’s latest plug-in hybrid SUV, to his car collection.
Launched in India in August 2024, the Lamborghini Urus SE is the brand’s first plug-in hybrid SUV. Hardik’s model, finished in Lamborghini’s signature “Giallo Auge” yellow, features a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine along with a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, together producing a massive 800 hp and 950 Nm of torque.
The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 312 km/h. It also provides an electric-only range of around 60 km. Meanwhile, Lamborghini has changed the design with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, updated air vents, premium upholstery, and improved seating comfort. The car also has the sleeker LED Matrix headlights, a redesigned front bumper, and a sportier diffuser at the rear. Notably, the starting ex-showroom price of the vehicle is around IRN 4.57 crore.
While Hardik’s new Urus SE is a confirmed purchase, he was earlier associated with a Lamborghini back in 2019. The cricketer was spotted with an orange Lamborghini Huracán LP 580-2 outside a gym in Bandra, which led fans and media outlets to assume he had bought the supercar. Hardik and his brother Krunal Pandya were spotted driving through the streets of Bandra, Mumbai, in the stunning Lamborghini. The video of the duo in the new luxury car quickly went viral. However, during an interview, Hardik revealed he didn't own that car.
“No, I don’t own it. They themselves had sent me to do a test drive in it, and the pictures went viral in the media,” he said in an interview with YouTuber UK07 Rider.
Meanwhile, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo, finished in a striking Arancio Argos (orange) shade, was priced between INR 3.56 crore and INR 4.41 crore at the time. The supercar consists of a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine, capable of producing 571 bhp and 560 Nm of torque. With a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, it races from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 325 km/h.
