Heinrich Klaasen, Sanju Samson bury the hatchet after heated altercation on field in CSK vs SRH

Heinrich Klaasen and Sanju Samson have settled their differences after getting into a war of words on Monday, May 18, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five wickets to book their place in the playoffs.
During SRH's pursuit of a 181-run target, Klaasen played a blinder of a knock, smashing 47 off just 26 balls on a sluggish surface. In the 15th over, however, his blistering innings came to an end as Samson stumped him off Noor Ahmad's bowling. The wicketkeeper was very quick with his glovework, giving Klaasen no time to step back into the crease.
After his dismissal, Klaasen looked frustrated, and he had a few words to say to Samson while he was on his way back. The latter also responded with a few words of his own before trying to get closer to the South African stalwart. However, Noor Ahmad, Shivam Dube, and the on-field umpires intervened to prevent the situation from escalating.
Less than 48 hours after the match, Klaasen took to his Instagram handle and expressed his love and respect for Samson by sharing a photo of them hugging each other. He confirmed that the duo had buried their hatchet.
"Much love and respect for you bud. Always love watching you play. Keep doing your thing. We are all good. Looking forward to our next battle," Klaasen wrote on his Instagram story.
The CSK wicketkeeper-batter shared the same picture and called Klaasen a "gem of a person" on the same social media platform.
"Things happen on the field, but lots of love and respect to this gem of a person off it," the Player of the Tournament in the 2026 T20 World Cup wrote.
