In response, MI's powerplay was in stark contrast to that of their opponents. A total of 61 runs were scored for the loss of just one wicket. Rohit Sharma notched up his first half-century in more than a month. After Rohit was dismissed for 68 (51), his side lost a couple of more wickets. However, that did not prevent them from becoming the second team to defend their IPL title. Axar Patel (0/16 in four overs) was the standout performer for DC.
