'I am ready to die' - Yograj Singh has no one at home, says he relies on strangers for food

Former India fast bowler Yograj Singh has revealed that he is battling loneliness, as he has no one at his home to take care of him, despite having the resources to keep house helps. He says that the family does not stay with him, and he has to often rely on strangers for his lunches and dinners.
Despite having a family filled with a wife, three sons, a daughter, grandchildren among others, Yograj says that he never asks them for any help or favour. He has expressed his desire to die the moment death comes his way, since he has lived a content life. He thanked God and has said that he will keep praying to the almighty and will even keep getting what he prays.
"I sit alone in the evening, have no one at home. I rely on strangers for food, sometimes one person, sometimes the other. I don’t bother anyone though. Someone or the others gets food for me if I am hungry. I kept house help and cooks, they served and went away," Yograj Singh said in an interview with Vintage Studio.
“I love my mother, kids, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, everyone in the family. But, I don’t ask for anything. I am ready to die. My life is completed. Whenever God wants, He can take me with Him. I am so thankful to God. I pray, and He keeps giving,” the Chandigarh-born added.
The 67-year-old is also the father of legendary India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. As a child, Yuvraj always wanted to pick up skating and other sports as a profession, but Yograj persisted and forcefully drew his son into playing cricket. Yograj's call eventually worked wonders, as Yuvraj went on to become one of the most celebrate Indian cricketers, with multiple accolades and also contributing in two World Cup wins for the country.
Yograj, on the other hand, currently runs a private cricket coaching centre in the state of Punjab, where players across genders and age come and train to master their game. Apart from cricket, he has also made his name as a popular Punjabi and Bollywood actor. He played a key role in the national award-winning Bollywood superhit Bhaag Milkha Bhaag — the biopic of veteran Olympian Milkha Singh.
