IND A vs AUS A 2025: India A vs Australia A, 1st One-Day Match Preview

India A (IND-A) will face Australia A (AUS-A) in the first One-Day match on Tuesday, September 30 at the historic Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The hosts enter the clash with momentum, having sealed the two-match unofficial Test series 1-0.
Shreyas Iyer will lead India A, continuing his captaincy role from the red-ball leg. After a modest outing with the bat in the first Test, Iyer will look to regain rhythm while guiding his side in the three-match ODI series. The squad also features the likes of IPL stars like Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, Vipraj Nigam and Ravi Bishnoi, adding depth and firepower.
Australia A, meanwhile, will look to bounce back after their Test series defeat. Their squad boasts talents such as Jake Fraser-McGurk, Cooper Connolly, Tanveer Sangha and spinner Todd Murphy, all eager to make an impact in the limited-overs format.
Green Park is generally considered a batting-friendly pitch in the early overs, but it tends to assist spinners later in the game. This could prompt teams to include an extra spinner in their XI. Batters will need to be cautious with their shot selection and build their innings carefully.
Shreyas Iyer (C), Prabhsimran Singh (WK), Priyansh Arya, Ayush Badoni, Riyan Parag, Vipraj Nigam, Nishant Sindhu, Gurjapneet Singh, Yudhvir Singh Charak, Ravi Bishnoi, Simarjeet Singh
Lachlan Shaw (wk), Jake Fraser-McGurk, Mackenzie Harvey, Jack Edwards, Cooper Connolly, Will Sutherland, Liam Scott, Tanveer Sangha, Todd Murphy, Henry Thornton, Sam Elliott, Harry Dixon, Tom Straker
