IND vs SA 2025: Yashasvi Jaiswal joins exclusive list of Indian cricketers with Visakhapatnam heroics

Yashasvi Jaiswal scripted history with his maiden ODI ton in the final ODI of the three-match series between India and South Africa at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam on December 30. Jaiswal's unbeaten 121-ball 116-run knock earned him the Player of the Match award in the series-deciding clash.
With that knock, he etched his name in the record books, becoming just the sixth Indian batter to have scored at least one century in each format. Jaiswal had already got his Test and T20I centuries in 2023.
However, he had to wait for a while for his ODI century due to lack of opportunities in the format. Ahead of the three-match series, Jaiswal had only played one 50-over game for India, which came against England earlier in the year. The left-handed batter, who had had below-par outings in the first two ODIs of the recently-concluded series, made up by playing a free-flowing knock in the third.
Jaiswal, who has registered 723 runs at a strike rate of 164.31 in T20Is, has not been selected in the 15-member T20I squad set to face the Proteas in the upcoming five-match series. The T20I leg is scheduled to get underway on Tuesday, December 9.
While Jaiswal was named the Player of the Match, the Player of the Series award went to Virat Kohli for his 302 runs at a strike rate of 117.05 in three matches.
