India’s bowling attack was clinical from the outset, with Renuka Singh leading the charge with a tidy 5-0-18-0 spell. Kranti Gaud, Amanjot Kaur, Deepti Sharma, and Shree Charani all contributed with disciplined lines and lengths, keeping the scoring rate in check.
Charani struck early, removing Anneke Bosch for a duck, while the spinners ensured the middle overs remained tight. South Africa reached 78/2 in 15 overs, needing 221 more runs at a required rate of 6.31, but India’s bowlers had already set the tone for a tense chase.
