The second Test between India and West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, beginning October 10, 2025, has seen India firmly in command as the hosts continue to dominate the proceedings. Following a colossal first innings score of 518 for 5 declared, India unleashed a disciplined bowling attack on Day 3 to keep the West Indies under relentless pressure. India’s overwhelming dominance was evident throughout Day 3 as the visitors found it hard to counter the well-varied Indian attack. The West Indies, who trailed by 270 runs after their first innings ended at 248, managed only to add 81 runs while losing 9 wickets in the 81.5 overs bowled on Day 3. Kuldeep was particularly effective with the ball, claiming five wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja picked up three scalps, further dismantling the Windies batting lineup. Mohammed Siraj also contributed by dismissing Jomel Warrican.

Despite some lower-order resilience from Anderson Phillip (24 not out) and late resistance from Pierre, the West Indies innings was repeatedly broken by sharp strikes from the Indian bowlers. This enabled India to maintain a strong grip on the Test match, with the visitors still struggling to avoid the follow-on. The solid batting performances of Shubman Gill, who remained unbeaten on 129, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 175, set the foundation for India’s first innings lead, which the bowlers have backed up emphatically. India have enforced a follow on against West Indies for their second innings.
