Mohammed Siraj put in a stellar performance in the Ahmedabad Test so far as he continued his fine form with the ball during the first session of Day 1 of the Ahmedabad Test against the West Indies in the Narendra Modi International Stadium .

On the last ball of 10th over, Siraj bowled a full delivery outside off to Brandon King, who had been leaving the previous few deliveries that swung back in. However, this time King misjudged it, leaving a delivery that was not wide enough. The ball hit the middle stump, sending King back for just 13 runs and leaving the West Indies at 39/3. Siraj’s disciplined line and length set up the wicket beautifully. After having induced the inward movement for the previous deliveries, he deceived King with the full ball just outside off. The batter’s poor judgment led to his undoing, as the stumps were shattered. Siraj, visibly elated, responded to the breakthrough with a memorable ‘Siu’ celebration, famously popularized by football legend Cristiano Ronaldo. West Indies found themselves in deep trouble early on Day 1 of the first Test against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
