Following their dominant first innings, India’s bowlers stepped up to dismantle the West Indies batting lineup. Kuldeep Yadav was the standout performer with a five-wicket haul, taking 5 for 82 as the West Indies innings collapsed under pressure. Ravindra Jadeja supported well with three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Siraj chipped in with one wicket each. The visitors, who resumed Day 3 at an overnight position of 140/4, could not build sustainable partnerships to challenge India’s imposing total.

West Indies were bundled out for 248 in 81.5 overs, leaving a deficit of 270 runs. This substantial gap led India to enforce the follow-on, forcing the West Indies to bat again immediately without delay. On the second innings, despite a cautious start from openers John Campbell and Alick Athanaze, the visitors found themselves at 53/2 at the close of the second session, still trailing India by 217 runs.

India’s strategic enforcement of the follow-on and relentless bowling pressure have left West Indies facing a steep uphill battle to save the Test.
