India Women registered a comprehensive 102-run win against Australia Women in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on Wednesday, September 17. The Australians were bundled out for 190 in 40.5 overs while chasing 292.

Speaking of how the match panned out, Smriti Mandhana played a tempo-setting 91-ball 117-run knock before getting dismissed on the second ball of the 32nd over of the first innings. Deepti Sharma (40 off 53) was the second-leading run-getter for the hosts, as they got to 292. Darcie Brown (3/42 in eight overs) was the most successful bowler for the opposition.

Neither of Annabel Sutherland (45 off 42) or Ellyse Perry (44 off 61) capitalised on their starts in an otherwise underwhelming batting effort. Tahlia McGrath, Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney scored 16, 17 and 18, respectively. Every bowler from India got at least one wicket to their name while Kranti Goud secured a three-wicket haul (3/28 in 9.5 overs) to her name.
