India (IND) and South Africa (SA) are set to continue their ongoing T20I series by playing the third T20I. Both teams will lock horns at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday, December 14. The series is currently levelled at 1-1.
In the first T20I, the home team's all-round display handed them a 101-run win. Hardik Pandya was the star of the show, both with his bat and ball, and was rightfully named the Player of the Match. However, the visitors bounced back in the second game in New Chandigarh, thanks to Quinton de Kock's 90-run knock and a four-wicket haul by Ottneil Baartman. South Africa eventually won the game by 51 runs and levelled the series. With the contest now moving to Dharamsala, both teams will look to win the game and extend their lead.
The HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala aids the pacers as it allows the ball to travel faster considering the high altitude of the venue. Batters will have some say in the contest during the middle overs. However, dew is likely to play a vital role in the contest. Either skipper winning the toss may elect to field first.
Reeza Hendricks, Quinton de Kock(w), Aiden Markram(c), Dewald Brevis, David Miller, Donovan Ferreira, George Linde, Marco Jansen, Lutho Sipamla, Lungi Ngidi, Ottneil Baartman
India's star opener Abhishek Sharma could be the best batter in the upcoming clash against South Africa. While the southpaw hasn't been able to fire in the last two games, he woild like put those performances behind him and come in fresh for this game.
Tall South African pacer, Marco Jansen, could make the difference with his bowling. The left-arm speedster has picked up two wickets in two innings and is running high in confidence. With the pitch having something for the bowlers, Jansen will look to make the most of it and pick wickets at regular intervals.
