Jemimah Rodrigues registered two ducks in the first four matches and was dropped for India's encounter against England. However, after losing to England by just four runs, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side brought Jemimah back into the side, and she smashed an unbeaten 76 off 55 balls to help the hosts notch up a morale-boosting win.
However, the best was yet to come in the semi-final against Australia, where the 25-year-old played the innings of her life, amassing an unbeaten 127 off 134 balls, which helped India chase down a record-breaking 339-run target in Navi Mumbai. Jemimah finished the tournament with 292 runs from seven innings at an average of 58.40 and a strike rate of 101.04, playing a massive role in the triumph.
