IPL 2025: Sam Curran's doppelganger spotted during LSG-SRH clash

A lookalike of Sam Curran was spotted during Match 61 of IPL 2025 between Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium on Monday, May 19. He was seen just after Ayush Badoni was dismissed on the fourth delivery of the 18th over.
The doppelganger turned out to be Jake Jeanings, a well-known YouTuber who is a huge Australian cricket supporter. Jeanings was spotted donning the SRH jersey and celebrating for the SRH unit after Badoni sliced the ball to deep cover to become the fourth wicket to fall for LSG.
Speaking about Curran, his IPL 2025 was over after the tournament was temporarily suspended due to the cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. He opted not to return to India ahead of the competition's resumption on Saturday, May 17. He was not shortlisted as a part of the 13-member squad for England for their one-off Test against Zimbabwe.
Coming to the game, the Pat Cummins-led SRH won the toss and elected to field first. Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram powered their side to 69/0 at the end of the powerplay. The two were dismissed after scoring respective half-centuries (65 off 39 and 61 off 38, respectively). Skipper, Rishabh Pant (seven off six), underwent another disappointing outing with the bat.

Nicholas Pooran contributed with a vital 26-ball 45 before three wickets, including Pooran's, fell in the final over of the innings. LSG ended up posting 205/7. Eshan Malinga (2/28 in four overs) was the pick of the bowlers from the visitors' side. IPL debutant, Harsh Dubey (1/44), and Harshal Patel (1/49) proved to be expensive.
